St Luke’s Bombed Out Church Gardens Re-Opening In Style On 17th June

The much-loved St Luke’s – better known as the Bombed Out Church – will reopen its Gardens for the first time in nearly two years.

To celebrate the Stratford Festival Orchestra & Choir will be performing a live version of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. There will be two recitals at 1.00pm and 5.00pm.

Fresh from recording a number of Beatles tracks at Abbey Road Studios, London in their own homage to the Fab Four the Stratford upon Avon Festival Orchestra & Choir will be marking the 50th anniversary of the Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by travelling from the home of the Bard to the home of the Beatles to perform their own special tribute.

Refreshments will be available from the licensed bar, serving bottled beers, wine and prosecco. Food will be available, provided by local firm “Relish”.

Please note the performance will take place in the Gardens only. St Luke’s has been closed to the public following extensive repairs and the interior is intended to be open during July.
