Liverpool Business Owner Joins Forces With International Life Coach To Empower & Inspire Women

Liverpool designer and founder of Lola Starr activewear Kate Hill, has joined forces with Life Coach and motivational speaker Sheryl Findlay, launching a new sportswear line to celebrate strength, empowerment and overcoming adversity.

Kate and Sheryl first met last summer at a wellness event in Manchester. Since then they have united on a shared mission to redefine beauty. They initially collaborated on a campaign #ConfidenceToConquer filmed in Liverpool’s very own Vessel studios. Whilst on set the women were reminded of the phenomenal power of community and in celebrating diversity, as they seek to reignite a conversation around confidence and the immense impact it has on all people, but especially women.

As a life coach, confidence is a subject matter close to Sheryl’s heart. Personally, she’s faced much adversity and had to overcome many hurdles. At the age of 21 Sheryl found herself lost, struggling and her confidence at an all time low. She decided to take action. Sheryl has spent the last decade dedicating herself to her health and fitness, achieving an astonishing 16 stone weight loss and an incredible body transformation.

Through nutrition and exercise Sheryl changed the trajectory of her life, taking on new jobs, getting promoted and traveling all around the world. In 2019, a shocking cancer diagnosis left Sheryl fighting for her life. As she underwent treatment and rebuilt her through the wake of grief and devastation, she decided she would make her life and legacy matter.

Sheryl now channels her extraordinary energy into working with others to help them reimagine what’s possible. “We often hold ourselves back for fear of judgment, failure or both. We are actually afraid of how brilliant we might be. We’re also not taught the skills to help us be the best version of ourselves. This is my mission.”

While Sheryl was transforming her life, in Liverpool, Kate Hill was building her sustainable sportswear brand, Lola Starr. Having begun her career in Liverpool within manufacturing and textiles, Kate is passionate about having her designs manufactured in the UK. She is committed to focusing on sustainability, quality, and conscious production.

By carefully considering the environmental impact and ensuring premium quality, Kate guarantees that Lola Starr products are not only stylish and functional but also long-lasting and better for the planet. After hearing Sheryl’s story and working together on the first campaign, Kate has witnessed first hand the power of Sheryl’s story, message and mission.

Kate shares “I wanted to work with Sheryl on a collection that celebrates her, her achievements and all she represents. The collection is a tribute and testament to power, purpose, passion and perseverance. Inspired by women who refuse to settle for anything less than extraordinary. Women who know what they want and are unapologetic about their ambitions. This is more than a gym set, it’s a mindset. It’s been designed to make the people who wear it feel powerful, bold, capable and strong”.

To celebrate this power partnership and new collection, the two will be hosting an exclusive event this Saturday 23 November, in The Clubhouse, Wolstenholme Square. The event will be a true celebration and an opportunity for both women and men of Liverpool to come together, sharing inspirational stories whilst kick starting their festive celebrations.

“Guests will be treated to a fizz, networking, a sit down lunch, an opportunity to start their Christmas shopping with local businesses present. “We’re also proud to be partnering with Local charity Cash for Kids Mission Christmas. It’s really important to both Sheryl and I that we raise charity whilst driving our own mission. We can’t wait to see you all there”.
