LEAF West Kirby Presents Their Summer Festival: Monday 17 – Sunday 23 July
Over in West Kirby, LEAF is getting ready to tea-off for a unique week of family fun as the Open takes over the region in July.
It’s time to par-tea like never before as the world’s biggest golfing event descends on the peninsular. And in honour of this huge week – and also to offer an escape from the golf action – LEAF West Kirby have announced their Summer Festival which is taking place during the Open from Monday 17 to Sunday 23 July.
Nestled upon Black Horse Hill, LEAF’s spectacular Summer Festival is packed with free fun for all each day, set in a festival marquee in the back garden of the iconic Wirral location.
LEAF West Kirby has the biggest outdoor space across the region and will feature an array of free entertainment, music, festivities and craft beer. The Summer Festival is very much celebrating all things golf and inspired by the Open, yet equally it’s also escapism from the competition for families and anyone who doesn’t avidly follow the sport.
Key activities include: balloon modelling; face art; sign making; children’s paint workshop (pay for materials used); mad scientists; golf ball treasure hunt; and with more to be announced. All activities are free unless otherwise stated.
Liverpool singer Ogo is programming music for Thursday 20 – Sunday 23 in the marquee which will be revealed soon. And there will be a golf-themed quiz and Pudding Club too during the Summer Festival.
LEAF West Kirby will be open all week during the Open offering its hearty breakfasts, restorative brunches and delicious dinners along with its wide range of beers, cocktails, wine and of course a lot of tea – there are now close to 100 loose-leaf flavours to choose from.
Upstairs will be available for private booking during the Summer Festival, so it’s perfect for any golf lovers to dine before embarking on a day at the Open or for those hungry after a day on the fairways. Downstairs at LEAF West Kirby will be operating as normal and during this extra busy week, bookings are advised.
