Interail Strike Gold With Debut Single ‘Red’

The members of Interail are currently in their second year of studies at LIPA which is also where their paths crossed. They hail from Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool and Trondheim (Norway) and are inspired by the dynamic shifts of grunge and the soundscape of shoegaze.

Red is the debut single from the Lancashire band and explores the trials and tribulations and volatility that comes from connections we make with people.

The song begins with a lively rhythm guitar riff, followed by the light dustings of the cymbals and hi-hats before an instrumental crescendo and psychedelic lead guitar. The lyrics have poetic elements, the feeling and underlying message is not just red, cherry wine stains and rose-tinted glasses describe a femme-fatale figure who is causing emotional destruction. As the song reaches it’s climax, the frustration that can sometimes come with lusting for the wrong person can be felt in the guitar solo and organised crashes of the drum kit.

They recently supported Aimee & The Parade at the Jacaranda and will be headlining at the same venue on the 18 October, tickets are available here. As they enter their final year at LIPA, the sky’s the limit for Interail.
