Summer will soon be round the corner and what’s better than to enjoy your warm days than in a snazzy beer garden?
The Grove Beer Tap & Grill came as a surprise to me when I arrived, I’ve never stepped foot in a bar that had that sort of Caribbean feel to it. And to top it all off, they specialise in fruit beers, and believe me, they are definitely worth exploring.
My partner and I were really curious about this bar as we had stalked the menu on their Facebook page beforehand because we’re both fussy eaters. The Grove never let us down, the menu varied from pizza fries (staff and customer favourite!) to different styles of chicken wings to a 32 ounce steak with all the trimmings! (Brace yourself for this one – accompanied with house fries, dressing of any style of buffalo wings, deep fried old fashioned onion rings all for £32)
Of course everyone loves pizza so we were curious about the pizza fries which were delicious with pepperoni, melted mozzarella cheese and peppers spread all over the top. With a side order of BBQ chicken wings and cheese melts (thick halloumi strips in a chilli crumb coating for you cheese lovers).
All beers were around £4 and we were sampling them all, from banana to mixed fruit to raspberry we truly felt at home in this little bar.
I think we’ve finally found the perfect setting for our summer nights to start with a really stunning garden at the entrance with spot lights shining down on the place, it’ll be hard to miss.
