Frederiks Launches Two New Summer Menus

In the week when Time Out crowned Liverpool the UK’s best city for food, Hope Street stalwart Frederiks launched their exciting new food and drink offer for the Summer.

The Georgian Quarter bar and eatery has made a name for itself during its ten-year history, effortlessly combining award-winning cocktails with great food and live music; being home to the ever-popular Hope Street Jazz three nights a week.

The new food menus retain the informal dining-style Fred’s is known for, with social sharing dishes, pizzas, bar snacks and moreish desserts, which are too good to share.

Highlights in the plates include the Quattro Nduja Macaroni – this skillet of Mac ‘n four cheeses has a real depth of taste and a great ‘cheesy pull’ which truly defines the dish.

A guest favourite for many years, Fred’s meatballs have had an update with a rich new sauce; the beef and pork balls are topped with Pecorino, which also features in the Pancetta Pecorino Croquettes – crunchy on the outer with a generous cheese and bacon filling.

Meaty dishes aside, vegetarian offerings also don’t disappoint. The homemade Babganoush and Hummus plate is served with warm flatbread and balsamic baby onions – perfect as a starter or bar snack, whilst the layers of flavour in the Courgette and Pecorino Butterbeans will have you wanting a second serving.

Making a return for Summer in the pizza section is Fred’s Fiorentina – one of the first pizzas served when Frederiks opened its doors back in 2013. Newcomers include two vegetarian pizzas, a Courgette with Pesto and Chilli flakes and Blue Cheese on an onion base with mozzarella and crispy onions.

Fred’s Sticky Toffee Pudding still flies the flag in the desserts – homemade in-house, its recipe has been refined to make it even more unctuous and it remains a bestseller during the week and on Fred’s Sunday roast menu – paired perfectly with Vanilla pod Ice Cream.

An extensive selection of seasonal Spritzes have been added to the new-look drinks menu, with many also available in refreshing 2-pint pitchers for sharing, flavours include Watermelon, Lychee and a grown-up take on Ribena, with Sloe Gin and Creme De Cassis.

A tropical Pina Cabana with Rum, Malibu, Almond milk and Pineapple makes its debut in the cocktails, along with a frozen Watermelon Margarita and Strawberry Daiquiri and Freddies Fling, with Apricot, Gin, Cocchi Americano and Pineapple.

Non-drinkers can enjoy a number of 0% cocktails, plus a range of alcohol-free beers, fruit ciders and Lyre’s non-alcoholic classic spirits.

With two new menus to explore and non-stop sunshine forecast for the next few weeks, there’s no better time to enjoy some of Fred’s old-school Hope Street hospitality – now all you have to do is a bag yourself a table outside!
