Zeus Taverna opened its doors in April this year on the bustling foodie street that is Castle Street, in the heart of Liverpool City Centre. A Greek restaurant bringing a taste of the sun-kissed Mediterranean to the region and the venue has seen rave reviews since opening its doors..
Promising a world inspired by the popular holiday island of Santorini, Zeus Taverna boasts textured whitewashed walls framed by turquoise blues creating the feel of a traditional Greek taverna, along with a menu of tapas and small plates with favourite dishes like souvlaki, moussaka and kleftiko, and appetisers such as tzatziki and dolmades.
Saturday nights are also a great night to visit Zeus as they have a DJ playing from 7pm until late so diners can keep their tables after dining and see the night out in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
The site has been a big success with locals as well as tourists alike and now the team behind Zeus are proud to launch their new small plate lunch time menu.
A spokesperson for Zeus Taverna said: “We have been blown away with the feedback to Zeus since opening. From customers complimenting the decor of the fit out to more importantly the food. We are based in the heart of the business district so we wanted to create a lunch time menu for workers in the area to call out from the office or the shop and be able to be back to work within the hour. We have created 3 small plates for £20 which customers can enjoy fast, but with the same high quality.”
The Zeus menu largely features Greece’s traditional cuisine that’s familiar to food lovers, but also there is a selection of unique dishes with fresh seafood like octopus, prawns and mussels at their heart, as well as speciality salads.
Zeus’ spokesperson continued: “We feel we have created a lunch menu at a great price point. We are all aware of the tough times with the cost of living we all live in. The new lunch menu will go live from Thursday 31st July and includes small plates such as Psito Chtapdi ( grilled octopus served on a bed of red pepper sauce ) as well as classics such as Keftedes and Tzatziki”
The Zeus Taverna 3 small plates lunch is available Monday to Thursday 12-4pm and also on Sunday from 12-4pm. The 3 small plates lunch will launch from Sunday 3 August.
