Fleetmac Wood Bring Their Rumours Rave To Constellations
Fleetmac Wood are bringing their Rumours Rave to Constellations. An night of remixes, edits and originals in homage to the reputable album.
You are cordially invited to attend the 40th birthday featuring reworks of the band with DJs, Roxanne Roll and Smooth Sailing.
Fleetmac Wood (a remix of the original bands name!) will be throwing a series of birthday parties in San Francisco, LA, NYC and Liverpool to celebrate 40 years of Rumours.
Since 2012, FleetmacWood have been hosting their tunnel-visioned event with an extensive back catalogue of Fleetwood Mac. With a curated and created remixes and edits they have shared their passion with like-minded hedonists all over the world.
“We’ve always felt that there is so much more to Fleetwood Mac than Rumours. To us it’s just one of the many great albums they have produced.”

We spoke to DJ Roxanne Roll about the event and what we can expect from the night.
Where did the concept come from?
Roxanne Roll: I had been DJing for many years, putting on my own events and throwing in the odd Fleetwood Mac track in my eclectic sets. Since the response was always so effusive from the crowd, I had a hunch that a whole night of Fleetwood Mac would be polarizing and infectious. I sat on the idea for a long time as I knew it either needed an enigmatic space like a boat filled with peacocks or another creative element. When an explosion of vintage remixes and edits happened around 2012 the vision became clear that Fleetmac Wood would be a party and remix project. Our first event was the launch party for Psychemagik’s remix of Dreams. We’ve had some fabulous contributions from lots of producers and have been busy creating edits ourselves, mostly with a cosmic/disco/house/techno sound.
What’s the vibe like at your events?
More like a Sunday at a festival as our crowd are usually friendly, open-minded, creative hedonists. It’s fairly loose and celebratory, with intersecting scenes with a common passion. It’s a real blend of genres which keeps it musically interesting and compared to a lot of club nights we have more women and LGBT people attending which makes for a better party (and better outfits). It’s the sort of rave you could bring your parents along to (a few have), or turn up by yourself and just get down and dance with your eyes closed.
What do you think the crowd take away from an experience like this?
People have strong emotional connections to the music. Hearing those songs loud on a club sound system allows you to live inside the music for a moment and to express those emotions by dancing or singing along. It’s cathartic, fun and the blues backbone of the band is perfect for the dance floor. There’s a part of us that wants to play dress-ups and believe in magic and the aesthetic and lyrics of the band allows for that.
