Easter Egg-citment At Royal Albert Dock
This Easter, visitors to Royal Albert Dock can mark the start of spring with free, fun-filled activities for the whole family. Complete with an enchanting golden egg hunt for youngsters to explore the dock, amazing attractions to keep boredom at bay and mouth-watering meals for an indulgent Easter treat, there’s plenty to enjoy on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.
During the Easter holidays, keep little ones entertained with The Great Golden Egg Hunt. Taking place from 3-10 April, children can hop around the dock in search of 10 shiny Easter egg window vinyls hidden across the estate, including in venues’ windows and a few other surprise locations.
After finding all of the eggs, participants can visit either Roly’s Fudge or The Nest to exchange a completed map for a delicious treat or cute accessory. Pick a map up from selected venues, including Peaberry Coffee House & Kitchen and Revolucion de Cuba, or download a copy by visiting https://albertdock.com/find-our-golden-easter-eggs/.
With two weeks to fill with family fun, visitors can beat the clock by solving mind-muddling puzzles at Escape Hunt’s newest immersive adventure, Return to Wonderland City Hunt, or join The Beatles Story for a special egg hunt through their exhibition on Easter weekend. Children can also experience life at sea with a series of drop-in sessions at Maritime Museum, or release their inner artist with Make at Tate Liverpool: Wild Escape, and create an animal-inspired artwork for Earth Day 2023.
Those looking to make a day of it can also indulge with Easter specials at the dock’s restaurants and bars. From Miller and Carter’s trio of Baileys Choctails to Maray’s Cumbrian lamb chops marinated in harissa with pea puree and mint sauce, there’s something for every appetite. Diners can also savour a traditional Sunday lunch with Gusto’s Sharing Roast, tucking into a selection of succulent meats, or head to The Smugglers Cove for a hearty meal with all the trimmings.
There are more exciting events happening at the Royal Albert Dock when Eurovision fever hits Liverpool, later this month. From Ukrainian food and drink, live music events to creative pop-ups, the jewel in Royal Albert Dock’s programme is the installation of a 10-metre artwork, ‘Floating Earth’, which will shine brightly in the dock from 28 April – 18 May. Read all about it here.
