“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make and end is to make a beginning.
S. Eliot
As the last gasps of this year fan the flames of the next, and a setting sun melts into a glorious dawn, we intend to savour what has gone, whilst revelling in what is to come.
Whether you are welcoming the new year in, or making sure this one leaves, we know of no finer way to do so than in the company of fine friends, marvellous music and delightful drink, all of which shall be gathered in plentiful supply under our roof here, at The Observatory.
To reflect the fact that we are harnessing the orbits of such divergent groups, bringing together a collection of people who dazzle as individuals to amaze as a whole, all converging in a wondrous alignment for one glorious night, our chosen theme is the Astronomical Clock, a device well used to tracking such a multifaceted spectacle. Meat Cassette, our good friends from an alternate video dimension will be providing visual mapping projections all evening, climaxing with a show stopping optical delight at midnight.
Because we believe New Year’s about coming together, and that everybody should go to the ball, we’re keeping our ticket prices down for this. We want you to enjoy the party that you deserve, not miss out on the one you can’t afford.
Join us on December 31st for a night that will be packed with pleasure, as we bring together all the necessary ingredients to concoct an evening that will truly enchant, entertain and enthral all who grace it with their presence. So, leave your resolutions at home and come join in our jubilations. It just wouldn’t be the same without you.
