Popular Mexican Restaurant Boojum Opening In Liverpool This December

The cult-favourite Mexican restaurant brand, Boojum, is finally bringing its legendary burritos to Bold Street this December.

Boojum first hit the scene in Belfast in 2007, making serious waves in the Irish food game with its killer menu consisting of burritos, bowls, nachos, tacos, and freshly made chips and salsas. Fast forward to today, and with 18 stores across Ireland and GB it’s become the go-to for bold, flavourful Mexican eats that pack a punch – and, trust us, the portions are next-level huge.

Boojum has torn up the rulebook and created a unique take on modern Mexican. Every burrito is packed full of quality, freshness, served up with passion and personality. Unlike other brands, you’ll not find a microwave or freezer in any Boojum restaurant. In fact, in 2023 Boojum’s Burrito Bowl was ranked as the sixth most trending dish worldwide on Deliveroo – 6th in the whole world!

The new Liverpool restaurant will seat 50 and bring 25 new jobs to the area. They’re currently on the hunt for burrito-loving crew members to join the team – so if that’s you, get involved!

Liverpool’s been on Boojum’s wish list for years, and with the city’s strong Irish ties, it was only a matter of time. Fun fact: it’s been the most requested spot outside of Ireland with die-hard Boojum fans taking to social media to voice their opinions, so it’s safe to say Boojum listened and Liverpool’s about to level up its Mexican food scene.

As if this wasn’t enough excitement, Boojum is going to make someone’s year by giving one lucky fan the chance to win free food for an entire year, what an epic start to 2025 that would be. To enter, head over to boojummex.com/liverpool and throw your hat in the ring for this tasty prize.

David Maxwell, Boojum’s CEO, said: “We’ve been eyeing Liverpool for a long time, and we’re so excited to finally be opening here. Bold Street has such great energy, and the mix of global food spots makes it the perfect place for us. We know Liverpool’s going to love our unique take on Mexican.”

Recent openings in Leeds and Nottingham have seen queues of hundreds on opening day, with comments such as “Boojum Burritos make even my exes drama seem small!” surfacing from the locals.

Boojum plans to open its next fun-loving, high-energy restaurant on Bold Street this December. Follow @boojummex on Instagram for updates.
