Bill Ryder-Jones Announced As Patron of Liverpool Mental Health Festival 2016
Founder of The Coral will appear in Liverpool to announce the winner of ‘Mental Health And Me’ competition on World Mental Health Day, 10th Oct.
The festival events will include a comedy night, an art exhibition in several venues across the city, a film night at FACT, training and creative workshops for all ages. Plus – don’t miss a full day celebration on Saturday, 8th October at Williamson Square.
Festival Co-ordinator, Claire Stevens (Development Manager, Liverpool Mental Health Consortium) said ‘We’re delighted that Bill Ryder-Jones is supporting Liverpool Mental Health Festival 2016 by becoming the Festival Patron and helping us all to find creative and practical ways to talk about, and look after, our own mental health and that of our friends, families and communities.
Bill Ryder-Jones said ‘It’s a real honour to be asked by LMHF 2016 to be patron. Everyone knows that being open about issues of mental distress is what will one day shatter the taboo. What a brilliant thing that we can celebrate our imperfections whilst raising awareness and hopefully dispelling some myths along the way.
The full festival programme will be available from Monday 5th September at www.liverpoolmentalhealth.org/liverpool-mental-health-festival
