Berkson Family Law Partners With Tomorrow’s Women To Offer Free Legal Advice For Women In Need

As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Berkson Family Law Solicitors in Liverpool is partnering with Wirral-based charity Tomorrow’s Women to offer free sessions on domestic abuse and family law.

The sessions are designed to provide practical advice on matters like divorce, child arrangements (who a child is to live with and see), financial settlements and domestic abuse, helping women make informed decisions about their legal rights and whether legal aid might be available to assist them.

Running from Monday 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to Tuesday, December 10th (Human Rights Day), The 16 Days of Activism is a global campaign focused on eliminating violence against women and girls.

Adele Schofield, Director and Children’s Law Solicitor at Berkson Family Law, said: “These 16 days give us an important opportunity to discuss the serious effects of gender-based violence on families and individuals.

“Hosted at Tomorrow’s Women in Birkenhead, the sessions will offer women the chance to speak with experienced family law professionals in a welcoming and accessible environment.”

With over 80 years of experience, Berkson Family Law specialises in providing compassionate legal advice in family law matters. Their team supports clients through child arrangements issues (who a child is to live with and see) and cases of domestic abuse, ensuring they feel empowered and confident to address their legal challenges.

As a charity led by women for women, Tomorrow’s Women offer any adult woman over the age of 18 a women-only environment where they can access advice, support and guidance to make positive lifestyle changes.

Karen Horner, CEO at Tomorrow’s Women, said: “Having a space where women can feel safe and supported is the reason we started this organisation. If these events and sessions with Berkson Family Law can help raise awareness of the issues surrounding Violence Against Women and Girls, that’s a step in the right direction.”

Tomorrow’s Women Wirral has organised a number of upcoming events in line with the collaboration including their annual Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls Event on Monday 25 November and women-only club night charity fundraiser on Tuesday, December 6th at Future Yard in Birkenhead.

Adele added: “This partnership allows us to reach women who may not have had access to legal advice before. We’re proud to work with Tomorrow’s Women to ensure that all women feel informed and supported when handling their legal matters.”
