Baa Bar Reveals ‘Game-Changing’ New Interior

One of Liverpool’s longest running venues has unveiled a brand new look this week.

Located on Fleet Street in the city’s Ropewalks District, Baa Bar opened its doors back in 1991 and apart from during lockdown has never closed.

Considered a right of passage for students and young people alike, Baa Bar has always been known to be at the cutting edge of design and innovaton and this Summer the two-floor bar and club has been transformed once more, in a huge £350,000 redevelopment programme.

Guests will be met on the almost all-black ground floor with a jaw-dropping state-of-the art light ceiling, with more than 250 individually controlled LED boxes allowing for limitless colours and patterns to be programmed, from subtle colour washes right through to dazzling white-hot strobes.

A new back bar features giant TV screens with specially commissioned scrolling content displaying a wide range of brand new events, mind-bending 3D imagery, plus a selection of some of the 30+ shooters on the drinks menu which Baa Bar has been best know for, for more than three decades.

With new speakers installed all around the dancefloor, there’s also a new and completely tiled DJ box which has a live video feed to Baa bar’s Instagram and Youtube channels and will broadcast nightly, directly into customer’s homes while they’re getting ready for a big Baa Bar night out!

Venturing up Baa Bar’s iconic stairs to the vast Clubroom, customers will see the space has been redefined to maximise the impact of the room’s new LED strip lighting system.

A diamond-shaped grid of over a quarter kilometre of high specification lights plus 40 high power strobes and a heavyweight Funktion-One speaker system now offer an unmatched clubbing experience in the city.

A repositioned, extended DJ booth also boasts a high-definition light wall, again featuring graphics and moving 3D content unique to Baa Bar.

The clubroom’s giant bar has also undergone a makeover, again with giant TV screens.

Speaking about the refurb, Baa Bar General Manager James Wilkinson said: “The transformation of Baa Bar is amazing – we took the opportunity over the Summer to get the works done in time for freshers week and students returning to the city – they’re not going to recognise our venue.”

“We’ve a brand new look which I’m really proud of, along with new events, and have been working with exciting new promoters.”

“Whilst there’s plenty of improvements, we’ve not got rid of everything and still will be serving our much-loved shooter menu – and have also introduced five pound deals on a number of our most popular drinks, so a night out at Baa Bar is even better value.”

Baa Bar Commercial Manager Oliver Clarke also commented: “This new scheme is a game-changer for Baa Bar – I’m amazed at what these new lighting systems can achieve, I’ve not seen anything similar apart from some of the Ibiza super-clubs.

I’m confident that customers are going to be blown away by the new look Baa Bar which will set a new standard for Liverpool’s nightlife.”

Baa Bar Fleet Street is open seven days a week from 6pm until 4am. For more information on their new club nights, themed events and live DJ feeds visit www.baabar.co.uk or follow the venue on Instagram, @baabarliverpool.
