‘Algorithm’ The UK’s First Rubik’s Cube Art Exhibition Coming To Liverpool This Week

Prepare to step into a world where art and puzzles intertwine at the upcoming exhibition ‘Algorithm’ by artist Fai McCabe. Engage in the challenge of solving the iconic puzzle for yourself. A display of sculptural art which promises to captivate and challenge art enthusiasts and puzzle lovers alike.

Takling about the inspiration behind ‘Algorithm’, Fai said: “As a child, I was captivated by logic puzzles, especially the Rubik’s cube. I could spend endless hours absorbed in memorising patterns and algorithms. As I entered my teenage years, my focus shifted to art, working within multiple mediums and finding a fondness in experimenting with processes. Through embracing the nostalgia that the Rubik’s cubes evoke, I have merged this with my love for the arts and created ‘Algorithm’. A fusion of logic and creativity, and a celebration of my journey thus far.”

“Sharing this display of work in my first solo exhibition truly feels like a memorable milestone, especially considering the stigma I once felt about my unusual hobby that I sheltered for a number of years.” Fai added.

When we asked Fai what she hopes visitors will take away from their experience at ‘Algorithm’, she said: “I hope they will be inspired by the interactive nature of ‘Algorithm’ and the opportunity to engage with the art. The exhibition is designed to spark curiosity and creativity in the viewers, encouraging them to solve the puzzle and experience the magic of illusion whilst honing in a sense of nostalgia. The exhibition is raising funds for the Owen McVeigh Foundation, a charity that supports children and their families suffering from cancer in Merseyside.”
