BBC Introducing LIVE Returns to Liverpool with Music Masterclasses and Industry Q&As
BBC Introducing LIVE will return to Liverpool this November with a special evening designed to support emerging musicians and music creators in the city.
Taking place on Tuesday 10 November, the invite-only event will feature production masterclasses, an industry panel offering advice to new musicians and Q&A sessions hosted by BBC Introducing in Merseyside presenter Dave Monks.
The Liverpool event forms part of the legacy of BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, which was held at Sefton Park in 2025. Some of the city’s music industry experts will take part, giving emerging artists the opportunity to gain practical insight and guidance as they begin developing their careers.
Liverpool is one of ten locations taking part in BBC Introducing LIVE 2026, alongside Belfast, Bridgend, Gateshead, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Sunderland.
Running throughout November, the nationwide programme will include live performances, workshops, panel discussions, open mic sessions, songwriting opportunities and industry networking events for aspiring musicians, DJs and music creators.
Kelly Betts, Editor of BBC Introducing, said: “I’m excited that Introducing LIVE will be returning in November for our biggest year yet.
“BBC Introducing will be at events, panels and gigs across the UK, giving emerging talent the opportunity to learn from industry experts, make music and connect with fellow artists.
“Music has the power to unite, inspire and shape our culture, and BBC Introducing’s flagship event will help some of the UK’s rising stars on their journey to achieve this.”
Elsewhere, the programme will begin in Bridgend and London on Thursday 5 November. The Sound Bridge in Bridgend will bring together new music talks and live performances, including a headline set from The Bug Club, while The Lower Third in London will host a BBC Introducing showcase featuring rising artists.
Sunderland’s Fire Station will be taken over on Friday 6 November for a day of panels, open mic sessions and an industry feedback centre, where musicians can receive advice directly from record label representatives, BBC presenters, producers and other music industry figures.
Manchester will welcome the return of the BBC Introducing Songwriting Camp on Monday 9 November. Delivered with PRS for Music and songwriter Jin Jin — whose credits include Raye, Jess Glynne, David Guetta and Sabrina Carpenter — the five-day, invite-only workshop will allow emerging artists to develop their songwriting and collaborate with industry professionals.
Further showcases will take place at The Glasshouse in Gateshead, Belfast’s Ulster Sports Club and Metronome in Nottingham. BBC Introducing will also appear at Scotland’s Resonate music industry conference at SWG3 in Glasgow.
The programme will conclude with four showcases across Leeds on Saturday 28 November. Events at The Wardrobe, Belgrave Music Hall and Oporto will cover new and emerging music across a range of genres, including dance and rock.
BBC Introducing has played an important role in supporting unsigned and emerging British musicians, with artists including Ed Sheeran, Raye, Olivia Dean, Sam Fender and Loyle Carner receiving backing from the platform during the earlier stages of their careers.
Music uploaded through the BBC Introducing Uploader can be considered for airplay across 23 local radio programmes and six national shows on Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, 6 Music, Asian Network and Radio 3.
BBC Introducing LIVE begins on Thursday 5 November and continues throughout November. Further details, including information about individual events and tickets, can be found on the BBC Introducing website.
