Ring O’Bells Reveals Ultimate Summer Event Lineup and New Menus

Award-winning gastropub, Ring O’Bells, has unveiled its new summer programme, transforming the waterside venue into one of the North West’s standout seasonal destinations with a refreshed menu and calendar of family-friendly events.

Located in Ormskirk alongside the Leeds and Liverpool canal, the pub offers a relaxed setting for al fresco dining, set within four acres of open countryside grounds with one of the biggest beer gardens in Lancashire.

Designed to complement long summer days, the new menu introduces lighter, aromatic options with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Ensuring customers enjoy the finest, high quality produce, Ring O’Bells continues to work with esteemed regional producers, sourcing premium cuts from Althams Butchers in Morecambe and fresh dairy from Lancashire’s own Rowlands Dairy.

From fresh wild garlic in their new Wild Garlic & Chicken Kebab, to seasonal greens like the Grilled Asparagus, Peas & Avocado Salad, the dishes celebrate the very best flavours of the warmer months.

Diners can enjoy a menu brimming with sweet heat and citrus notes, whether tucking into the Beef Short Rib Scotch Egg paired with a spiced mango chutney, enjoying a Sticky Hot Honey Halloumi Kebab, or rounding off a sunny afternoon with a crisp Lemon Pavlova topped with Chantilly cream and mixed summer berries.

Heartier pub classics are also elevated, including Steak Frites, featuring an 8oz rump steak with parmesan fries and a vibrant, herby, chimichurri sauce, or the Smashed Grass-Fed Beef Burger topped with caramelised onions, nduja mayo, smoked bacon and cheese.

Families are welcome with a dedicated Kids Menu, offering mains such as Chicken Tenders or Mini Fish Nuggets for £8, complete with an activity colouring page to keep little ones entertained. The outdoor dedicated children’s play area provides the perfect setup for families, allowing adults to sit back and relax while children play just a stone’s throw away.

To complement the food offering, a refreshed summer drinks selection includes fruity serves such as the Kiwi Mint Breeze and the Miami Colada, a tropical-inspired cocktail designed for warm-weather sipping.

Throughout the summer, Ring O’Bells will host a packed programme of themed events, transforming the waterside venue into a lively destination for all ages. Highlights include a monthly Makers Market that spotlights local independents, Father’s Day celebrations, sports screenings for England’s World Cup matches and the Wimbledon final.

The summer season will conclude over the August bank holiday weekend with a petting zoo perfect for little ones, alongside a final appearance from Joe’s Pizza pop-up, giving guests the last chance to enjoy its popular 10-inch Neapolitan-style pizzas.

Lewis Boardman, owner of Ring O’Bells, said, “This summer is all about creating a relaxed environment where people can come together, whether that’s couples enjoying afternoons in the beer garden or families joining us for our programme of seasonal events.

“Alongside the new menu and drinks offering, we’ve created a summer line-up designed to give people of all ages a reason to visit throughout the season, and we hope everyone who joins us has a great time.”
