Attis Bathing Club To Launch In Liverpool As Wellness Sanctuary

A new wellness concept, Attis Bathing Club, is preparing to open its doors in Liverpool this August, bringing a fresh take on social wellbeing to the city centre.

Based on David Lewis Street inside The Prestige building, the new venue aims to offer a premium alternative to the traditional night out, combining wellness experiences with opportunities for social connection. Facilities will include a 30-person Finnish sauna, filtered ice baths and dedicated red-light therapy spaces.

Attis Bathing Club has been founded by Liverpool couple Jennifer Gledhill and Lewis Boardman. After spending seven years living in Sydney, Jennifer says she was inspired by Australia’s culture of integrating wellness into everyday social life and saw an opportunity to create a similar space back home in Liverpool.

Speaking about the launch, Jennifer said: “We’re so excited to bring this unique experience to our hometown. As people place more value on real connection and wellbeing, we’re proud to make guided contrast therapy classes and traditional Aufguss part of everyday life.”

The venue will focus on Guided Contrast Therapy — a wellness practice involving alternating exposure to hot and cold temperatures, which is believed to support circulation, metabolism and mental clarity. One-hour sessions will be available to book and led by trained practitioners.

Alongside contrast therapy, guests will be able to take part in experiences including breathwork, sound baths, dopamine resets and sleep-focused sessions. Attis will also introduce traditional Aufguss rituals, where sauna masters use steam, essential oils and choreographed towel techniques to create an immersive sauna experience.

The space will also feature a lounge-style café area where visitors can relax between sessions, offering healthy drinks and nourishing snacks, as well as shower and changing facilities.

Weekend programming will include ‘Club Attis’ sessions featuring DJs and community-led events, with more details expected to be announced closer to launch.

Attis Bathing Club is scheduled to open seven days a week from 7am until 8pm. People can currently register for early launch access via Attis Bathing Club.
