Alan McGee & Creation Present; Creation Sessions At District Featuring 'Shakedown Stockholm' & More
Continuing the events organised by Creation Management and founder of Creation Records Alan McGee, District hosts a night of music from up and coming bands. Always a man with his finger on the pulse where new music is concerned, this should be high on anyone’s list of essential gigs this February. The evening kicks off with the excellent heavy garage rock and psychedelia of Hull’s Black Delta Movement, who gave a sterling performance at Liverpool Calling last year, followed by the sumptuous vocal artistry of Adriana Spina.
As if that was not enough, the dusky pop fizz of Ms Moxy, signed to McGee’s new 359 Music label, and Shakedown Stockholm, already tipped as ‘ones to watch’ by BBC Introducing, complete the line-up for the evening. The diversity of musical talent on show has something for everyone. If you fancy a bit of variety to spice up a dull winter’s evening, I suggest beating a path to District on the 6th of February. Surely a man who has been involved with some of the best music from bands such as The Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream and Oasis knows what he is talking about? I think I’ll pop along to find out…
Creation Sessions, Friday 6th Feb, District; 61 Jordan Street, Liverpool.Â
