Ignite Padel Launches Championship-Level Indoor Centre at Cheshire Oaks

A brand-new padel centre featuring championship-standard indoor courts opened its doors at Cheshire Oaks on Monday 1 September.

Ignite Padel, the Liverpool-based company behind the hugely popular Liverpool site, has unveiled its second venue in less than a year. The new club boasts five world-class indoor courts and two outdoor courts, offering year-round play whatever the weather.

Padel – a fast-paced sport that blends tennis and squash – is now the world’s fastest-growing racquet game, and its popularity has surged across the UK. Ignite Padel’s first site, which opened in Liverpool in April with six floodlit outdoor courts, has been fully booked throughout the summer.

Located just minutes from the M53, Ignite Padel Cheshire Oaks is set to become a hub for both competitive and social players. A spokesperson for Ignite Padel said: “We’ll be opening from 8am to midnight initially, with plans to extend to 6am–midnight and eventually move to 24-hour access, subject to staffing requirements.”

Coaching, Community & Competition

Like its Liverpool site, Cheshire Oaks will offer expert coaching for all levels, from beginners to experienced players. Social play is at the heart of Ignite Padel, with members encouraged to join its thriving WhatsApp community – the largest padel group chat in the North West – making it easy to connect with other players and join open matches.

Regular social tournaments will also be hosted, with players grouped by bronze, silver, or gold rankings to ensure competitive balance.

Expansion Plans

A spokesperson added: “Having the five indoor courts, and two outdoor, will give us greater flexibility in what we’re able to offer and allow us to host top-level tournaments. Indoor padel is seen as a purer form of the game – with no wind, players get a true trajectory on the ball.”

Ignite Padel Cheshire Oaks is just the start of the company’s ambitious growth plans, with five venues set to open across the North West within the next 12 months.

Bookings for Ignite Padel Cheshire Oaks can be made via the Playtomic app.

Ignite Padel also have a Liverpool site at 389 Queens Drive, Liverpool.
