Liverpool Home Baker, Oh Crumbs, Racks Up Nearly 18k Instagram Followers…
Have you found yourself ordering more takeaways and treats during lockdown? If you love your Instagram fix then surely you haven’t failed to notice (and drool over) Liverpool’s collection of home-bakers whipping up some amazing treats. I’m talking cupcakes, doughnuts, brownies, blondies, cookie sandwiches and more.
And there’s one baker in particular who I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on their goods, Oh Crumbs.
Oh Crumbs is run by Chloe Robinson, a baker who, quite frankly, makes the nicest blondies I have ever had. Admittedly, before I discovered Oh Crumbs I’d never had a blondie and maybe you haven’t either. Well, for those that don’t know a blondie is a twist on the traditional chocolate brownie as it substitutes vanilla for the cocoa used in brownies, and uses brown sugar.
Needless to say, since I discovered blondies, I’ve had my fair share of them from multiple places, and a lot of them have been really nice, but absolutely none of them have come close to Oh Crumbs. The word “perfect” is thrown around a lot, but I think it’s warranted in this instance. The way they’re made makes them so dense, but still solid and not gooey, and if you think there’s a risk of them being too dry you can absolutely forget about it. I’ve had more blondies from Oh Crumbs than I’m proud of, and I have never been disappointed.
They also offer traditional brownies if you need your chocolate fix and there’s an amazing selection of different flavours and toppings. Currently, orders are limited, with pre-selected boxes of brownies and blondies available. And let me just tell you about some of the magnificence I’ll be ingesting this weekend; cinnamon roll blondie, lemon meringue blondie (my personal favourite, I’m a sucker for lemon), Nutella and Bueno blondie, caramel and Wispa Gold brownie, Cookies and Cream brownie and a crispy M&M brownie. Need I say more?
Oh Crumbs usually offer both postal and collection order. A box of 6 blondies will set you back £12, which is more than worth it if you genuinely have a sweet tooth like me, plus the blondies themselves are easily shareable between two people (if you really want to share that is, I won’t judge).
