Threshold Festival Announces First Wave of Artists Including Nick Ellis and Empathy Test
Threshold Festival looks set to go out on a high with the final instalment of the grassroots music festival taking place on 3-4 April.
The festival organisers announced the first wave of acts for the two-day event which takes place across venues in the Baltic Triangle. Accomplished musician and story teller Nick Ellis, urban pop artist Chinchilla and electro pop outfit Empathy Test are some of the highlights from the announement.
Barberos, The Lutras, TEE, Blue Saint, Barry – Band, Emilio Pinchi, Pamela Sullivan, Nana Funk, Library of Soul – Choir were also announced to play at the final year of the festival.
BBC Radio 6 presenters Steve Levine and Chris Hawkins will also be involved with the festival.
Threshold Festival of Music & Arts has its roots in the creative industries of Liverpool and the North West. For ten successive years, the event has brought together a diverse wealth of artists, musicians, promoters, academics and enthusiasts to The Baltic Triangle district of the city.
The festival has always thrived by working with co-creators; local music promoters, media outlets and venues. They will once again be teaming up with a group of co-curators including Beers For Queers, Deep Cuts, Ditto Music, Happy Accidents, Liverpool Soulfest, Melodic Distraction, Mellowtone, Liverpool Acoustic, Music Is Now, Popped Music, Planet Slop, Silicon Dreams, The Secret Circus, Upset Collective and Wrong.
Threshold Festival will span 8 venues across the Baltic Triangle; Baltic Creative, District, Constellations, Baltic Roastery, Chapters of Us, Hobo Kiosk, Ditto Coffee and Brick Street.
