Newsham Scream Park Unveils Its Biggest And Scariest Halloween Experience Yet for October 2026

Newsham Scream Park is set to return to Liverpool this October with its biggest and most ambitious event yet after completely reimagining the experience.

Set within the former Newsham Park Hospital, once a Victorian orphanage, asylum and hospital, Newsham Scream Park has welcomed thousands of thrill-seekers since launching in 2023.

The unique setting has helped establish the attraction as one of the North West’s must-visit Halloween experiences, drawing visitors from across the UK each year.

Opening to the public from Friday 9th October, this year’s event introduces four brand new scare mazes, a redesigned site layout and a host of new features that take everything visitors have loved over the past three years and transform it into an entirely new night of immersive horror.

Rather than bringing back previous attractions, this year’s event introduces four completely original scare mazes, each with its own storyline, characters and terrifying surprises.

Inspired by the moments guests have loved most over the past three years, every experience has been created to keep returning visitors guessing while delivering the pulse-racing storytelling and spine-tingling scares Newsham Scream Park has become known for.

The entire site has also been reconfigured following feedback from previous seasons, creating an even better guest journey. Every twist, turn and transition has been carefully considered to build anticipation from the moment visitors arrive.

Away from the scares, the popular courtyard will once again return as the social hub of the event, serving food, drinks and live music throughout the evening. Whether guests are grabbing a bite before venturing into the unknown or unwinding afterwards, the courtyard has become an integral part of the Newsham Scream Park experience, transforming the attraction into a complete Halloween night out.

Kevin Midgley, Director of Newsham Scream Park, said: “When we were planning this year’s event, we kept coming back to one question – what did our guests love most, and how could we make it even better? Every decision we’ve made has been driven by the people who have supported us over the last three years.

“We’ve taken everything we’ve learned and completely reimagined the experience. Every maze is brand new, the site has been redesigned and we’ve introduced a whole new layout that keeps the suspense building from the moment guests arrive. Even if you’ve visited every year since we opened, you won’t know what’s waiting around the next corner.”

Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday 15 July, with further announcements, including the themes behind each of the four new scare mazes, set to be revealed over the coming weeks. Sign up via newshamscreampark.com for more information or follow along on Instagram @newshamscreampark.
