Newsham Scream Park Unveils Six New Horror Selfie Experiences As It Officially Opens This Saturday
Newsham Scream Park has unveiled six new horror-themed experiences within its popular Selfie Museum, giving visitors even more terrifying photo opportunities when the Liverpool Halloween attraction returns this Saturday 3 October.
Reimagined with completely new themes each year, the Selfie Museum has become part of the wider Newsham Scream Park experience, giving guests the chance to step inside a series of elaborately dressed horror settings and capture their own spine-chilling content.
For 2026, visitors will encounter six completely different scenes: a sinister Haunted Nursery, Satan’s Circle, Sweeney Todd’s Barber Shop, Fortune Teller’s Tent, Asylum Cell and Circus of Horror.
Each backdrop has been individually designed and dressed to transport guests into a different horror setting, creating six striking photo opportunities as visitors make their way through Newsham Scream Park.
The six new Selfie Museum themes are being unveiled as Newsham Scream Park prepares for its biggest season to date following a record-breaking 2025.
The team has spent months completely reimagining the attraction for 2026, introducing four original scare experiences, a redesigned journey through the site and a transformed courtyard experience in partnership with Liverpool favourite The Bus Yard.
The four new attractions – SpecimenZ, Waxworks, Cut Throat Lane and The Hellfire Club – each explore a completely different style of fear, combining darkness, theatrical storytelling, psychological suspense and intense live actor interaction.
Much of what happens inside is being deliberately kept under wraps, allowing visitors to discover the scares for themselves when the attraction opens to the public.
Away from the scares, The Bus Yard has taken over Newsham Scream Park’s courtyard for 2026, creating a social hub where guests can eat, drink and enjoy live entertainment before and after taking on the attractions.
The Liverpool independent will serve street food including salt and pepper chicken, chicken burgers, loaded fries, smash burgers and churros, alongside a fully stocked bar throughout the Halloween season.
Kevin Midgley, Director of Newsham Scream Park, said: “The Selfie Museum has become a really popular part of the Newsham experience, so every year we completely change it and give guests something new to discover.
“This year we’ve created six completely different settings and gone all out with the details. From Sweeney Todd’s Barber Shop and the Haunted Nursery to the Asylum Cell and Circus of Horror, every backdrop has its own personality and gives guests a brilliant opportunity to capture some seriously creepy content.
“But that’s just one part of what we’ve changed for 2026. We’ve created four completely new scare experiences, redesigned the journey through the site and The Bus Yard is taking over our courtyard. Even if you’ve visited us every year, there is so much you won’t have experienced before.”
Newsham Scream Park opens to the public from Saturday 3 until Saturday 31 October 2026.
Set within the former Newsham Park Hospital, once a Victorian orphanage and later a hospital, the historic Liverpool site has provided the chilling backdrop to Newsham Scream Park since the attraction launched in 2023.
Tickets are on sale now, with selected dates available throughout the Halloween season.
Newsham Scream Park has a minimum age of 14. The Hellfire Club is strictly for guests aged 18 and over.
