Liverpool’s multi-venue music festival So Long, Good Friday has announced the first wave of artists for its 2027 edition, with Maruja, Gurriers, GANS, Mary in the Junkyard, Tooth and SOFY among the headliners.
Following a successful debut in 2026, the festival will return to Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle next spring, bringing together some of the most exciting emerging artists from across the UK and beyond.
The all-day event will once again celebrate new music across multiple genres, from post-punk and alternative rock to experimental sounds and indie favourites.
Maruja, Gurriers and Mary in the Junkyard Lead the Lineup
Manchester noise-jazz outfit Maruja are among the biggest names announced, alongside Dublin post-punk band Gurriers and rising indie-rock group Mary in the Junkyard.
Birmingham duo GANS will also return to the festival, while emo newcomers Tooth and genre-blending artist SOFY complete the first wave of headliners.
There’s plenty more to discover further down the bill, with Cardiff indie-rock band Casual Smart, Manchester alt-rock outfit Shaking Hand, experimental act Truthpaste and Brighton slowcore band Glasshouse Red Spider Mite all confirmed.

Other artists announced include Bleach Estate, Courds, Ferguson Hi-Fi, Halfsmile, London Concrete, M. Woodroe, Mindsigh, Sex Mask, Pyncher, Spanish Horses, The Slow Country, Wyatt and Your Mate’s Ex.
With more names still to be revealed, the festival is shaping up to be another exciting addition to Liverpool’s 2027 live music calendar.
Five Baltic Triangle Venues to Host the Festival
So Long, Good Friday 2027 will take place across five venues in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, with performances hosted at:
- Hangar 34
- District
- 24 Kitchen Street
- Lost Art
- Camp & Furnace
All five venues are within walking distance of each other, allowing festivalgoers to move between stages and discover new artists throughout the day.
The festival’s focus remains on championing emerging talent while keeping ticket prices affordable, making it an accessible event for music fans looking to discover their next favourite band.
Building on a Successful Debut
The inaugural So Long, Good Friday festival in 2026 received a positive response from artists, audiences and music publications.
Louder Than War praised the event, declaring: “Liverpool needs this festival for the city, the bands and the fans.”
Meanwhile, Northern Exposure described it as “a turnaround moment for the city”, while The Indie Scene called it a “roaring success.”
Speaking about the return of the festival, organisers said:“After the roaring success of our first edition, which exceeded all our expectations, we’re back in 2027 with an even bigger line up of our favourite new bands from across the UK and beyond.
“Big headliners right down to brand new acts just starting out, we’ve left no stone unturned in our quest to deliver Liverpool’s most exciting new music festival.”
