Liverpool-based duo Dealer’s Choice continue their impressive run of releases with Bringing You Here, a brooding new single that sees the pair venture into darker, more atmospheric territory ahead of their forthcoming debut EP.
Following the upbeat energy of Apex and the early success of debut release Some Kind of Way, the latest track marks another confident step forward for cousins Barry Mullaney and Joe McHugh. While retaining the alternative electronic sound that’s earned them growing recognition across the Merseyside music scene, Bringing You Here introduces a moodier, more intense edge that hints at where the project is heading next.
Barry says the song came together unexpectedly after experimenting with new production techniques. “This song came from something that I had written a while ago, and then it came together later when we started producing the instrumental. It was originally just us messing around with a vocoder effect I had got recently. I had the lyrics written, so once the idea to combine them both together came, it was like a lightbulb switch came on. The rest of the song came together quite quickly.
I think the style and sound that Bringing You Here evokes, is something we want to explore a bit more going forward. Electronic music that possibly feels a bit more darker, gothic, edgier, intense etc.”
That willingness to experiment has become a defining feature of Dealer’s Choice. Drawing influence from acts including LCD Soundsystem, Yard Act and The Avalanches, the duo continue to blur the lines between alternative and electronic music, pairing danceable production with thoughtful songwriting and a growing sense of confidence in their sound.
Originally from County Mayo, Ireland, Barry and Joe formed Dealer’s Choice in Liverpool in 2025, bringing together their respective backgrounds in production, songwriting and DJ culture. Since then, they’ve quickly established themselves as one of the city’s most promising emerging acts, earning support from publications including ASBO Magazine and Baby Step Magazine. ASBO described the duo as “becoming one of the most talked-about acts in Merseyside.”
With a debut EP on the horizon later this year, Bringing You Here feels like more than just another single. It’s a statement of intent, showcasing a band that’s unafraid to evolve and explore new sonic territory while continuing to build on the momentum of an already busy 2026.
Bringing You Here is out now on all major streaming platforms.
