Dead Cherry Poised for Explosive Sold-Out Debut
Merseyside’s indie scene has a new name to shout about – Dead Cherry. The five-piece band have burst onto the radar in spectacular fashion, selling out their debut show at The Jacaranda on November 15th in just a few days.
What makes this feat even more impressive is that Dead Cherry have achieved it without any musical releases or prior social media presence, relying solely on word-of-mouth buzz and impromptu acoustic sing-alongs at parties.
So, what’s driving the excitement around Dead Cherry? Quite simply – the songs. Frontmen Joe Loram and Jake Westwood have crafted a catalogue of infectious, melodic anthems that feel both familiar and fresh. Drawing comparisons to iconic frontmen duos like Oasis and The Libertines, the pair are lucky enough to have that certain songwriting chemistry that only comes around once in a blue moon.
Musically, Dead Cherry strike the perfect balance between energy and melody. While some acts have one standout track that carries their set, every song in a Dead Cherry’s repetoir feels like a hit – each chorus made to be shouted back by crowds from the front to the back.
For those who missed out on tickets, there’s already an extensive waiting list for the sold-out debut. But if 2025 is only the start for the band, 2026 will surely promise more live performances and, hopefully, the band’s first official releases.
Dead Cherry headline The Jacaranda on Saturday, November 15th, supported by Bishop Auckland’s rising star Frankie Dobson and Manchester alternative newcomers Inspirt.
