Jodie Comer To Bring Prima Facie To Liverpool For Final Tour

Jodie Comer will reprise her award-winning role in Prima Facie for a final tour in 2026, with the production making a highly anticipated stop at Liverpool Playhouse. The Killing Eve star, originally from Liverpool, will return to her hometown for the last leg of the tour, running from 17 to 21 March.

Written by Suzie Miller, Prima Facie tells the powerful story of a barrister who defends men accused of rape before experiencing sexual assault herself. Comer’s performance in the one-woman play earned her both Olivier and Tony awards, with the production breaking box office records in London’s West End and on Broadway.

“It is a huge privilege to return to Prima Facie for one last time,” Comer said. “I can’t think of a better finale to what has been such an incredible and deeply rewarding chapter in my life.”

The tour begins at Richmond Theatre on 23 January 2026, before visiting major venues across the UK and Ireland, including Dublin, Edinburgh, Cardiff, York, Bath, Canterbury, and Birmingham.

Miller, who worked as a lawyer for 15 years, has described the legal system’s handling of sexual assault cases as “not fit for purpose.” Prima Facie has been praised for its hard-hitting exploration of justice and has partnered with organisations like the Schools Consent Project and Everyone’s Invited to raise awareness.

“The resonance of Suzie Miller’s writing, both in London and New York, exceeded anything we could have imagined,” said Comer.

Miller said: “Jodie’s commitment to the story reaching so many new venues and communities means more people can be part of the conversation, and the solution.”

Directed by Justin Martin, the production features an original score by musician Rebecca Lucy Taylor, known as Self Esteem. Tickets for the Prima Facie tour go on sale on 25 March.
