Important Information For Last Weekend of Borealis At The Royal Albert Dock
This weekend is the last chance to experience Dan Acher’s world-renowned art installation, Borealis, at Royal Albert Dock and the organisers have announced some important information for visitors to have the best experience.
The captivating display, which gives the illusion of the Aurora Borealis, is located on the dock’s Hartley Quay next to The Pump House, and has been available to see each evening from 7-10pm. With the last day being the 30th March, both Mother’s Day and Summer Daylight Saving time, the viewing time for Sunday is an hour later from 8pm-10pm to accommodate for the clocks going forward.
Artist Dan Acher has given his advice for the best viewing spot for the installation as follows: “Borealis recreates one of nature’s most awe-inspiring phenomena over cities around the world, and I’m really pleased that the people of Liverpool have been coming out in droves to see it.
“The darker the better so do come when night has fallen. For the best experience, I suggest you approach from the Pump House and walk slowly within the space. Borealis is ever-changing and you’ll never see it the same way twice!”
For visitors looking to make a day of it, the dock’s huge variety of bars and eateries are ideal for families looking to celebrate Mother’s Day before heading to Borealis, from authentic Italian cuisine at Gusto to indulgent steaks at Miller & Carter and much more on offer.
