The Watering Can Unveils Magical Christmas Line-Up Packed with Food, Festive Fun and a Mischievous Santa

The Watering Can is officially stepping into Christmas, transforming its popular Greenbank Park venue into a glowing haven of festive food, carols and seasonal mischief throughout December.

With twinkling lights in place and the halls fully decked, the much-loved Liverpool restaurant has unveiled a Christmas programme filled with indulgent dining and joyful experiences — from a souped-up Christmas roast to a cheeky adults-only Santa brunch.

Festive Roasts Get a Christmas Makeover

Running from 23 November to 14 December, the venue’s famously popular Sunday roasts are returning with a glittering seasonal twist. Diners can enjoy a 3-course set menu with a welcome drink for £42, or 2 courses for £36.

The Christmas roast line-up includes:

  • Slow-roasted Norfolk Black Turkey Breast with Cranberry & Sage Stuffing
  • Salt-aged Hereford Beef Rump
  • Chestnut & Cranberry Gourmet Roast

Each comes with towering Yorkshire puddings, golden roast potatoes, all the trimmings and rich gravy — making it one of the most sought-after festive roasts in the city.

Carols with St. Nicholas Church Choir

On Friday 12 December (2–4pm), visitors can settle in for a cosy afternoon of Christmas classics as the St. Nicholas Church Choir performs live. The event isn’t ticketed, but advance booking is essential due to demand.

A Saucy Twist: Naughty Santa Brunch

For those firmly on the “naughty list”, The Watering Can is hosting an 18+ Naughty Santa Brunch on Saturday 20 December (12:30–2:30pm).

Priced at £42 per person, the event includes a welcome cocktail, festive pastries, a main course, desserts — and a heavy dose of Santa’s cheeky humour and surprises.

Christmas Eve Breakfast Banquet

To ease into the big day, the venue is also offering a Christmas Eve Breakfast Banquet for £34 per person. Guests will be welcomed with Buck’s Fizz and pastries, before choosing from a classic full English, vegetarian or vegan breakfast, followed by sweet treats and tea or coffee.
