Dr Orange’s Second single Is A Psychedelic Earworm
Following a successful debut single, Comes in Threes, Liverpool artist Dr Orange (the solo project of Chas Moody) is set to release his second single, These Things (Baby I Know) at the end of the month. Making full use of this time in lockdown and arriving just a few weeks after his debut, These Things (Baby I Know) should well and truly cement Dr Orange’s place on the scene.
This track is Dr Orange’s second collaboration with producer Jon Withnall, who has worked with the likes of Rihanna, Coldplay and The Coral. Expect fuzzy guitars playing heavy riffs, spacey synths, and vocals that will give you Arctic Monkeys or Miles Kane vibes.
Lyrically, you’ll hear a blend of complex and thoughtful verses with a simple but extremely catchy chorus that will be stuck in your head after just one listen. The song emulates a drunken night out through danceable rhythms and ‘lazy’ vocals, and this is also shown in the psychedelic video for the track that is due to be released on 5th June.
I think this is an impressive start for Dr Orange, and can’t wait to see and hear more in the not too distant future!
