State of Mind Launches Liverpool Music Event to Raise £30,000 for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Charities

A brand new Liverpool music event is bringing together DJs, local businesses and the community with one simple aim: to use the power of music to make a real difference.

State of Mind: The Launch takes place on Sunday 30 August 2026, promising twelve hours of music, connection and fundraising, with every penny of profit donated to charities supporting mental health and suicide prevention.

Organisers hope to welcome up to 1,000 people to the inaugural event while raising £30,000 through ticket sales and sponsorship, creating what they hope will become a lasting movement built around music, community and giving back.

The idea behind State of Mind is rooted in something simple but powerful: music has an incredible ability to bring people together. Whether it’s strangers sharing a dancefloor, friends making memories or communities connecting through live events, the organisers believe those shared experiences can play an important role in tackling loneliness and encouraging conversations around mental health.

The event will support five organisations doing vital work across the region:

  • Paul’s Place
  • Sean’s Place
  • The Florrie
  • James’ Place
  • The Jade L Roberts Project

Rather than being just another dance music event, State of Mind has been created as a purpose-led initiative that combines entertainment with fundraising and awareness. Alongside the music, the organisers are encouraging local businesses to get involved through sponsorship, helping to fund the event while publicly demonstrating their commitment to improving mental wellbeing within the community.

The launch event marks the beginning of a much bigger vision. Plans are already underway for a second State of Mind event later this year, with the ambition of creating a series of music events that continue raising funds for charities supporting people affected by mental health challenges, suicide and dementia.

As conversations around mental health continue to grow, State of Mind hopes to prove that live music can be more than entertainment—it can be a force for connection, support and positive change.

Tickets for the event are £29.95, with every penny going to the charities.
