JAWS 50th Anniversary Celebration Coming to VideOdyssey
Liverpool’s cult film venue VideOdyssey is making waves this November with a JAWS 50th Anniversary Celebration — an immersive evening dedicated to the film that redefined cinema. Taking place on Saturday 29 November at VideOdyssey, Toxteth TV, the event promises a night of nostalgia, creativity, and shark-sized fun.
In partnership with Liverpool Noise and Purple Revolver, the evening will dive deep into Spielberg’s iconic thriller with a packed programme of live art, rare memorabilia, quizzes, and even an impressive LEGO JAWS display.
Guests will be greeted from 6:30pm to explore a treasure trove of collectibles and themed art before the action begins. Highlights include a live art performance inspired by the film, a fan quiz to test your JAWS knowledge, and a special screening of the movie that started the summer blockbuster phenomenon.
Tickets are just £8, or £6 for L8 residents, students, and those currently unwaged — making it an affordable way to celebrate one of cinema’s most legendary releases in a community-driven, creative setting.
VideOdyssey, based inside Toxteth TV Studios, has become one of Liverpool’s most unique venues, known for its retro arcade, vintage video rentals, and deep love for film culture. This JAWS celebration continues that tradition, blending film fandom with local art and accessibility at its heart.
