Free Neurodiversity Event, Calm In The Palm, At The Palm House This September
Liverpool-based CIC, The Neurodiverse Family Support Network (NFSN) is inviting families, carers and professionals to its free Neurodiversity Event, taking place at the Palm House in Sefton Park on Wednesday 17 September, from 11am to 2pm.
The event, also known as Calm In The Palm, is designed to bring together parents and carers of neurodivergent children, creating a welcoming space to connect, share experiences and support one another. Attendees also have the chance to access advice from experts and organisations, offering valuable insights into the services, resources and opportunities available to families in Liverpool and beyond.
The Neurodiverse Family Support Network has been working at the heart of the community to champion neurodiversity and provide vital support for families and this event is set to be one of their biggest yet. With a strong focus on building community and reducing isolation, the event aims to empower parents and carers with both practical knowledge and emotional encouragement.
Previously known as Autism In Motion, The Neurodiverse Family Support Network was founded in 2015 and offers advice and strategies to support families with Autism, ADHD or other Neurodiverse Conditions. The organisation also offers clubs, days out and school holiday camps for neurodivergent children, as well coffee mornings and 1-2-1 support for parents.
Founder Jo Galbraith said: “We’ve been hosting these big events for many years now and they’re always very special. They offers parents a vital opportunity to connect, seek support and advice and find out what’s out there to help them and their children. It’s a great way to get our ever growing network together in one place and help one another.”
The huge event at The Palm House in Sefton Park is completely free to attend and has proven invaluable to parents over the years. These events are an integral part of The Neurodiverse Family Support Network‘s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap and provide support to families — featuring talks and many organisations who can support and help parents.
