Sound City 2013 Preview
Noah And The Whale @ Liverpool Anglican Catherdral. THURS 2nd.
Our favourite Folk-Pop band Noah & The Whale will play in one of the coolest venues for this years Sound City at The Anglican Cathedral where they will be showcasing some of their new material from their new album Heart of Nowhere which comes out in May.
Bastille @ The Garage (Wolstenholme Square Car Park) THURS 2nd.
Having already seen Bastille in Liverpool at The O2 Academy earlier this year we will be heading down to The Garage – which will be a new stage set up at the Wolstenholme Square Car Park (by Medication) to create a real warehouse feel to proceedings!
Ed Black @ Bold Street Coffee THURS 2nd
We are looking forward to seeing Ed after the release of his EP ‘Same Old Story’ he has a great indie-pop vibe that we can’t wait to see him perform live at the intimate venue of Bold Street Coffee.
Esco Williams @ The Garage THURS 2nd & Liverpool One Dome SAT 4th.
Esco, the winner of last years MOBO Unsung Award, has two shows this year at the aforementioned The Garage and at yet another new venue The Liverpool One Dome. A great live performer with great RnB tracks, he’s defiantly one to catch.
Fire Beneath The Sea @ Brooklyn Mixer FRI 3rd.
Liverpool-based hip hop/funk 15 strong group are our Wild Card choice, with a unique style and set up they will be playing at Brooklyn Mixer, probably the perfect venue for these guys as a unique venue in itself.
Savages @ Art Academy FRI 3rd
This all-female post-punk band from London have to be one of the highlights of Sound City for us, with the release of their first album ‘Silence Yourself’ on 7th May it will be a great appetiser to see them at The Art Academy (also located at Wolstenholme Square).
