Award-winning Reggae Festival, Positive Vibration Returns This June

After a year-long hiatus, the UK’s award-winning celebration of reggae music and Jamaican culture, Positive Vibration Festival returns to the Baltic Triangle, Liverpool on 12 and 13 June 2020.

Since its inception in 2016, Positive Vibration Festival of Reggae has established itself as one of the country’s most exciting and eclectic reggae festivals, playing host to internationally renowned bands, legendary sound systems + selectors and some of the brightest new talent.

This year’s festival is no exception, with some absolute heavyweights already confirmed, including HOLLIE COOK AND GENERAL ROOTS, GENERAL LEVY AND JOE ARIWA, NEVILLE STAPLE BAND, MUNGO’S HI FI ft. CHARLIE P, AFRICAN HEAD CHARGE, MAD PROFESSOR, TIPPA IRIE, HORSEMAN, DJ VADIM + JMAN, THE UPPER CUT BAND, KIKO BUN, DON LETTS, SINAI SOUND SYSTEM , LEVI TAFARI.

Highlights from this years ecclectic line up include singer and keyboardist Hollie Cook, who was a part of the last line-up of all-female punk/reggae band The Slits before going solo in 2010. Her solo albums have received critical acclaim and her ‘tropical pop’ sound will be sure to fit the vibes of the Summer festival. She’ll also be supported by reggae six piece, General Roots.

English ragga deejay General Levy will be another unmissable artist who will be teaming up with musician Joe Ariwa and his forward-thinking dub music.

Taking place over the 12 and 13 June 2020 across the Baltic Triangle, Liverpool, the festival also sees the return of the Reggae Q&A panel discussion, Jamdown Food and Drinks Market, Family Workshops and The Art of Reggae Exhibition, which will showcase 100 reggae-inspired posters, designed by illustrators and artists from over 60 countries. The two-day event is one of the highlights of the Liverpool festival season, bringing much needed diversity to the local scene,
