3 Reasons To be Excited For Liverpool Sound City 2019
Liverpool Sound City returns for its 12th year in 2019 (3- 5 May) and it’s been a rollercoaster ride for what is arguably the city’s biggest music festival. We look ahead to next years event and here’s 3 reasons why we’re excited.
- The line-up so far: The festival has announced some quality acts to kick off the excitement for the 12th year. Loyle Carner and Mabel head up the national talent on display along with the likes of Louis Berry, SPQR, Spinn and Red Rum Club representing the strong musical talent from the city.
- The return to the Baltic Triangle: When the festival moved out to Bramley Moore dock it seemed like a good idea on many levels but for us and many others it just didn’t work. Last year saw the team return to a city centre (ish) location in the continually booming Baltic Triangle and answering some of the prayers of fans who enjoyed the roaming around from bar to bar approach of earlier Sound City’s. We’re sure that the Baltic Triangle will work out for the organisers and music goers alike this year too.
- So many more artists to be announced:Â There’s still so many names to be announced for the festival that we can’t help but be excited for what Sound City still have up their sleeve!
Here’s the full list of artists announced so far:Â Alligator, Benin City, Cousin Kula, Dancing on Tables, Dayo Bello, Dot, Giant Rooks, Goodies, Harry Miller, Heavy Lungs, Indigo Lo, Jvck James, Loyle Carner, Mabel, Molly Rainford, Monks, Our Girl, Red Rum Club, Roman Lewis, Ryan McDermott, Saltwater Sun, Sophie and the Giants, Spinn, SPQR, Tamu Massif, Tracky and Vistas. 100s more artists will be revealed soon.
