Laughter Locker Comedy Nights Are Here To Promote Male & Female Comedians Alike

It’s fair to say that the comedy scene has been historically male dominated but women are fighting back (like we always do) and proving it’s not just a male sport.

With female comedians blowing up; think Amy Schumer, Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe and Aisling Bea to name just a few, the scene has never looked healthier. And that’s where we’ll introduce Laughter Locker – a monthly comedy night held at Liverpool’s Everyman Theatre Bistro. Established by Cash Boyle and Kate Jackson in September 2016 they decided that they wanted to create an event that fairly reflected both males and females on the comedy circuit.

We basically didn’t like that most comedy nights have one or two females acts at a push.” says Cash. Laughter Locker’s line ups are a 50 – 50 split of male and female performers, promoting equal opportunities for both sexes to showcase their talent. After all, feminism isn’t about making females better than men, it’s not a competition, it’s about creating equality.

With award-winning comedians as well as rising stars, in the chilled out environment of the Everyman Bistro and tickets from just a few quid, it’s a no brainer how you should be spending your Tuesday nights from now on.

Laughter Locker runs on the last Tuesday of each month with their next event on 27th March. Join the Facebook event page here for updates.

Tickets are just £3/£2 concessions.
