Liverpool Noise Hosts A Whitechapel Centre Fundraiser With Superb Bands At 24 Kitchen Street
Continuing their series of charity fundraising concerts, Liverpool Noise are proud to present their latest gig at 24 Kitchen Street on July 7. With a number of musical styles on offer, the event has something for everyone. There are five acts, all from the Merseyside area, performing on the night.
R n’ B duo Deliah, who have a single Waiting For The Rain currently available on most digital platforms, are first on the line up.
Thrilling indie rock band The Debt Stars have become a welcome fixture on the local live circuit. With a single, Shallow Grave, available on Soundcloud, these local boys are ones to watch.
Animated alt-rockers Salt The Snail look set to bring their wild live set to the stage, with past escapades including the throwing of assorted snacks into the audience – always a winner! The music is pretty darn fine too, so definitely a must-see. Their debut single Coffee is well worth a Soundcloud listen.
Indie-pop stars Weekend Wars fresh from appearances at The Great Escape and Dot To Dot festivals. Garnering attention across the country, make sure you make time to see this excellent band on home turf. With too much radio airplay to list, they have impressed 6 music and BBC Merseyside introducing. They have played at Sound City and also had a double-A-side limited edition single distributed by Flying Vinyl.
With rave reviews from Q magazine, BBC Music and The Sunday Times, Colour have a reputation for providing stellar rock pop. Their anthemic tracks are infused with electronic influences and they regularly sell out local gigs, so this looks like being an extremely popular event. They currently have a CD, Full Works, available on their website if you want to hear more of their innovative and catchy music.
The Whitechapel Centre is very important in supporting Liverpool’s homeless community. In addition to working to find people homes, they also teach skills in independent living which help people to stay in accommodation once they have secured it.
Advance tickets are available from Skiddle priced £4 here. If you want to take the chance on being able to get a ticket on the night the price is £5. Due to the event being for the homeless, donations of clothes or items homeless people can use can also be used to gain entry. A list of suitable items can be found on the Whitechapel website here.
