7 Fun Activities To Do In Liverpool To Test Your Competitive Nature
There’s plenty of fun stuff to do in Liverpool, you just need to know where to look! Here’s out top 7 fun activities to do in Liverpool.
Axe Throwing
Axe throwing is a relatively new craze which is perfect if you’re looking for something competitive to do with your mates or you’re looking for an alternative date night! What’s more fun than getting to fling an axe around? Hatchet Harry’s (near the city centre) and Timberjacks (Aintree) have both been tried and tested by the Liverpool Noise team and we recommend it for anyone looking to do something a little bit different. You never know, you might end up becoming a regular Axe Thrower – there’s competitions you can enter if you do turn semi-pro!
Bouldering
Bouldering is a form of climbing without ropes and harnesses. Sounds scary but you climb smaller heights, with safety mats all around you. The challenge with Bouldering is to climb short but tricky walls with ‘problems’ (a route, or sequence of moves) using strength, technique, and some clever thinking. The Climbing Hangar operates from two sites; one close to Sandhills station and the Matchworks in Speke.
Climbing Walls
If you prefer to be strapped into a harness and want to brave some greater heights then Awesome Walls is probably more for you. From their confidence-building learning walls to the 12 metre lead wall, you can test your nerve and your climbing skills here.
Bounce House Inflatable Theme Park
Bounce House is an interactive inflatable play arena that’s for adults as well as kids. They have high slides, an assault course, jump bags, trampolines and so much more!
Crazy Golf
Liverpool does crazy golf insanely well with both Golf Fang and Junkyard Golf Club as two very impressive venues for the most quirky mini golf you’re ever going to experience!
Liverpool Watersports Centre
If you’re really brave then you won’t be fazed by a dip in the Mersey! At Liverpool Watersports Centre there’s all kinds of activities you can try your hand at from Canoeing and Kayaking, open water swimming, stand up paddleboarding, sailing and windsurfing. The Aqua Park is great fun for groups too; race your friends on the inflatable track climbing over the obstacles & have a quick bounce upon the trampoline before racing onto the extreme slide or jumping off the jungle Jim into the ‘refreshing’ river Mersey.
Escape Rooms
Escape Rooms are the perfect competitive group activity and we have a whole feature on the Best Escape Rooms in Liverpool that you can read right here.
