5 Reasons To Be Excited For Our Crazy For Swayze Night
Last week we announced that we will be teaming up with Ya Gals On Film to bring you Crazy For Swayze – Patrick Swayze Night. We’ve got so much planned for the night and can’t wait to share it with you all. But for now here’s just 5 reasons to be excited for it.
1. The Venue
If you haven’t been down to VideOdyssey yet then you’re in for a treat. Dubbed as the last video shop in the UK, there’s hundreds of VHS tapes that you can rent from the video shop and the video wall is totally Instagram worthy! Not only is there a tape shop but the bar and lounge area is kitted out with retro arcade machines including, Pacman and Space Invaders! The icing on the cake is the huge studio cinema where we’ll be screening Road House.
2. Road House
Road House is an absolute 80’s classic and of course features our star man Patrick Swayze. Road House can be described as one of those films which is so bad it’s good, full of cheesy lines that you’d expect and some amazingly memorable scenes, so whether you’ve watched Road House before or you’ve never seen it we guarantee you’ll be entertained. If you want to find out more about the film we suggest you read this brilliant article via The Ringer.com.
3 Swayze Art Sessions
It’s time to get creative! In homage to the great man himself there will be unique artwork drawn by local artist Jon Slater which you can help to colour in and decorate to bring iconic movie scenes to life.
4. Themed Cocktails
We’re keeping the full details of the cocktails under wraps for now but expect some fun cocktails with a Swayze twist!
5. 80’s Disco
When the film’s over the fun doesn’t end there! We will be hosting an 80’s disco to end the night in style, expect the best and most iconic songs of the era!
