Wyld Sauna: UK’s First Public Floating Sauna Now Open In Liverpool

Wyld Sauna, the UK’s first-ever public floating sauna, has opened in the heart of Liverpool at Princes Dock.

Complete with a luxurious 30-person sauna, four ice baths provided by Urban Ice Tribe, two cold waterfall showers, four heated outdoor showers equipped with salt rubs, beautiful changing rooms with elevated finishes, as well as direct access into the water at Princes Dock for a refreshing post-sauna dip, Wyld Sauna provides the person inner city escape where guests can breathe and unwind.

Wyld Sauna will also have carefully crafted coffee, acai bowls, buddha bowls. grab-and-go salads, protein balls, refreshing juices and smoothies from Liverpool’s health and wellbeing eatery Pomegranate who will have a dedicated kiosk, as well as electrolyte water to ensure guests are hydrated following their sauna experience.

Situated on Princes Parade at Princes Dock as part of Liverpool Waters, Wyld Sauna is open everyday. Guests are able to book their preferred time slots for single visits or take advantage of Wyld Cards; exclusive pre-booking packages that offer flexibility and affordability. Early sign-ups through our website can take advantage of these introductory packages, making Wyld an affordable addition to your routine.

By offering Wyld Cards, the team aims to foster a community of wellness enthusiasts who value authentic, sustainable experiences at the new facility that brings the traditional Nordic sauna experience to modern urban living, creating a communal environment that’s accessible to everyone.

All guests will receive a unique code 15 minutes prior to arriving that will grant them access to the sauna and facility.

Floating on water, Wyld Sauna offers breathtaking views of Liverpool’s skyline, fusing Scandinavian tradition with the pulse of the city. Crafted from Thermal Alder, the sauna is also naturally antimicrobial, free from chemicals, and cool to the touch—ensuring both comfort and environmental friendliness. Wyld adopts true Nordic experiences with sauna whiskes, salt scrubs and sauna hats from Finnmark; a brand that’s synonymous with authentic sauna experiences.

With a passion for preserving the Wyld Environment, their mantra ‘No soap, no problem’ spearheads their efforts to protect the waters, preserve nature, and honour tradition at Wyld. Inspired by Scandinavian simplicity and respect for nature, Wyld upholds a ‘less is more’ philosophy and requests customers to not use soaps or artificial products within the facility. Instead, Wyld provides an eco-friendly salt scrub for gentle cleansing, helping to maintain water cleanliness and support local biodiversity.

Guests are encouraged to utilise the facilities in their own way and make use of the ice baths, simply bask in the heat of the sauna, or enjoy the freedom to explore cold water swimming directly from Wyld’s pontoon into Princes Dock which has proudly achieved an ‘Excellent’ rating from the Environment Agency standards for its water quality.

Jon Miller, Co-Founder of Wyld Sauna, explained: “We’ve been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to create our spectacular floating 30-person sauna, and wider facility complete with ice baths, heated outdoor showers, luxurious changing facilities and more. Wyld has been created to give our community a space to breathe and unwind, an inner city escape where the stresses of everyday life will simply melt away once they arrive and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests from Saturday 23rd November.”
