Visions of Albion Bring ‘The Heat’ With Their New Single

With whispers of Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young and The Doors to name a few, Liverpool’s very own Visions of Albion are back with a brand new single The Heat.

The songwriting duo consisting of Samantha Shields and Dan Ryan are a steadfast fixture on the local music scene, lorded for their sensational harmonies and enticing melodies. Currently in the process of recording their debut album, they have gifted us a teaser of what is to come! Formed in 2018, they have gone from strength to strength, playing to a variety of audiences and becoming known for their genre bending, signature sound.

Opening with silky smooth drums and a gospel like organ, The Heat explodes into life. The powerhouse vocals of Shields take the song into another dimension, soft and strong in all the right places, her voice soars throughout the song. As the song builds, the guitars begin to take centre stage. A crackling, intoxicating tone to the sound, the lead guitar shines towards the end of the song before coming together with the drums, synth and of course the vocals to bring the song to its emphatic climax. Lyrically, the song discusses themes of war and climate change, but throws out a sense of hope through the music itself.

With The Heat, Visions of Albion continue to demonstrate why they are one of the most exciting artists on their scene, they are an undeniable talent and most definitely one to watch in the coming months. With a plethora of gigs lined up over the coming months and (hopefully) more releases to come, Visions of Albion are on a runaway train..and they’re taking us all along for the ride.
