Victoria Park Experience Returns with Free Family Fun Across Warrington This August
One of Warrington’s most loved family events, VPX (Victoria Park Experience), is back this summer – and it’s bigger than ever. Now with four dates across the town in August, VPX is going on tour for the first time, bringing a burst of free family fun to communities throughout Warrington.
Just a short car or train ride from Liverpool, VPX makes for an ideal summer day out for Merseyside families looking for something fresh, free, and full of energy.
The 2025 series kicks off on Wednesday 6 August in Bank Park to celebrate National Play Day, before bringing the action into the town centre on Wednesday 13 August, thanks to support from Warrington Business Improvement District (BID), Golden Square Shopping Centre and Warrington Borough Council. The tour then returns to its roots at Victoria Park on Wednesday 20 August, for the first time in six years, and wraps up at Warrington Youth Zone on Wednesday 27 August.
Organised by Warrington Youth Zone in partnership with Cheshire Police, VPX promises a packed schedule of activities including sports, creative workshops, games, live entertainment, and community engagement. The event is supported by local organisations such as Warrington Wolves Foundation, LiveWire, and many community groups.
Andrea Morley, Warrington BID Project Manager, said: “It’s fantastic to see VPX return, and we’re really pleased to be supporting the town centre events. These kinds of experiences matter – they bring people into the heart of Warrington, offer something fun and free for families, and create a real buzz that benefits everyone, from local businesses to residents.”

Originally launched over a decade ago, VPX attracted more than 12,000 children and young people before taking a break during the pandemic. Its return marks a renewed focus on free, playful, and inclusive events that support family wellbeing across the borough and beyond.
With easy rail and road links between Liverpool and Warrington, the VPX tour offers a brilliant excuse for Merseyside families to explore a neighbouring town while keeping the kids entertained this summer – all without spending a penny.
