Santa’s Secret Forest Set to Wow the North West This Christmas

A brand new festive adventure is arriving in the North West this winter, promising to deliver an unforgettable dose of Christmas magic. Santa’s Secret Forest will open at Orrell Hill Woods, Ince Blundell, from Friday 21 November to Wednesday 24 December, transforming 16 acres of woodland into a fully immersive festive wonderland.

This magical, family-friendly event brings together the nostalgia of Christmases past and the sparkle of today’s seasonal traditions. With stunning light trails, high-tech experiences, and plenty of photo opportunities, Santa’s Secret Forest is expected to become one of the most Instagrammable events of the season.

At the heart of the experience is Chief Planning Elf, Pixel, who will guide visitors on a glittering journey through the enchanted forest. The trail leads to the 30,000 sq ft Christmas Hub, where the adventure truly begins. Inside the Grand Lobby, guests are welcomed by Santa’s joyful helpers before boarding the Tinsel Town Express – a custom-built, old-fashioned steam train that travels through a magical winter landscape.

Next stop: the Sleigh Garage and North Pole Command – Santa’s futuristic mission control centre where elves track weather systems, monitor the Naughty or Nice list, and plan Christmas Eve operations. Children will love the interactive Mailroom, where they can send their own letter to Santa down a giant magical chute straight to his desk at the North Pole.

There’s also the chance to explore Santa’s Workshop, where toys are being crafted from children’s wish lists, before stepping into the Time Tunnel and ending up in Departures, a North Pole-style airport lounge. From there, families will ride the Magic Elevators to Santa’s house for the all-important meeting with the big man himself.

Back at the forest, visitors can meet Santa’s real reindeer and soak up the atmosphere at Merrywood Market – a charming courtyard packed with festive treats, seasonal surprises, and handcrafted gifts.

Tickets start from £15 for the light trail only, with general admission ranging from £34 to £64, depending on date and time. VIP Packages, offering the ultimate luxury Christmas experience, are available for an additional £100, with payment plans available. Parking is available on-site.

Tickets go on general sale from 9am on Friday 6 June, with pre-sale access available from Thursday 5 June at 9am for those who sign up via santassecretforest.co.uk.

Creative Director Jay McMahon said: “As parents, we wanted to create something unforgettable for children. We’ve brought the magic of the North Pole to the North West, offering families a memorable, affordable Christmas tradition to cherish forever.”

Santa’s Secret Forest will be located at Orrell Hill Lane, Liverpool, L38 5DA.
