Taylor Swift Takes Liverpool: Celebrate With These Taylor-Themed Events

With less than a month to go until Taylor Swift brings The Eras Tour to Anfield Stadium for three nights in June, Liverpool is buzzing with excitement. In typical Liverpool fashion, the city has embraced Taylor’s arrival with a whole host of themed events to celebrate the chart-topping artist.

From brunches and drag queens to craft activities and album takeovers, Liverpool will be transformed into a Swiftie’s dreamland. As the countdown to the sure-to-be legendary concerts begins, let’s take a look at some of the ways you can get in on the Taylor Swift action, if you weren’t lucky enough to get tickets to the concerts. 

Liverpool Loves Taylor

Visit Liverpool has unveiled a number of special events happening across the city to mark Taylor Swift’s arrival. There’s the Taylor Town Trail with 11 art installations, each inspired by a different Taylor Swift Era, Swift-themed craft workshops and the University of Liverpool’s free Tay Day. Taylor Swift Activities at the Royal Albert Dock

Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is joining the city in welcoming Taylor Swift with a series of activities as the world-famous artist heads to Liverpool this month, including the return of its Time to Shine podiums, themed bottomless brunches and more.

Shake it Off from 14-15 June with the Time to Shine Podiums. Taking place in front of the Martin Luther King Jr Building from 12pm-2pm, hosted by Leanne Campbell on Friday and Claire Simmo on Saturday, Swifties can dance the day away to Taylor’s chart-topping tunes and battle it out to be crowned the winner.

Revolucion de Cuba are hosting a Swiftie Bottomless Brunch on Friday 14 June, offering 90 minutes of bottomless drinks and sing-along classics all topped off with a confetti cannon, or head to Revolution on Sunday 16 June for The Eras Brunch complete with two hours of bottomless cocktails and all the best Swiftie anthems.

And you can get crafty with The Nest’s free Taylor-themed colouring-in sessions or pick up an outfit accessory ahead of the concert.

Taylor Swift Fanpark at BOXPARK

Liverpool’s newest food, drink and events space, BOXPARK, will be transformed into a Taylor fanpark, before and after her shows on 13, 14 and 15 June. From 11am until 11pm, you can expect live performances, DJs, glitter stations, drinks specials and more. Tickets are free but do not guarantee your entry as the events are first come first served.

WE LOVE TAYLOR! at IWF Rollerdrome

IWF Rollerdrome are taking part in the city’s Taylor celebrations with a series of Taylor-themed skate sessions. There will be after-school sessions for all ages, as well as an 18+ Taylor night on Friday 7th June. Spaces will be limited so be sure to book if you want a Swiftie soundtrack to your skate.

The Ten-Pin Era At PINS Social Club

To celebrate Taylor coming to town, PINS are hosting a whole host of Swift-themed events, including; ‘The Tortured Bowlers Dept.’ where concert ticket holders get free bowling, a Friday night afterparty called ‘Taylor at Midnight’ and a Taylor edition of PINS’ iconic ‘Brunch & Bowl (Taylor’s Version).

Dive Bar Karaoke: Taylor Swift Special at Motel Bar

Motel’s infamous Dive Bar Karaoke is back on Thursday 13 June with a Taylor Swift special where you can sing your heart out to hits from every era backed by an incredible house band of live musicians. Motel are even running their biggest competition to date, where they’re giving away two tickets for the Thursday night concert and a £100 bar tab for karaoke after the show. Entries are via Instagram and the winner will be announced on 6th June.

Swiftogeddon – Eras Tour Pre-Parties

Swiftogeddon is a club-night dedicated to worshipping Taylor Swift that’s taking the UK by storm, with events in Liverpool, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Cardiff, Glasgow and Belfast. Kicking off at the O2 Academy on Friday 24th May, there’ll be a series of three Eras Tour pre-parties, each centred on three or four Taylor albums. So if you attend all three events, you’ll hear the entire Taylor Swift discography!

Swift Indie Disco

Shit Indie Disco (affectionately known as Shindie) is Liverpool’s best student night out, hosting thousands of students every Thursday night at five-floor superclub Electrik Warehouse. Taylor Swift Festival

Situated at no. 23 Anfield Road, Hotel Anfield is just a stone’s throw from where the Eras Tour action will be taking place at the stadium. During the three days of the tour, Hotel Anfield will be holding a Taylor Swift festival, featuring a Taylor tribute act, live music, street food, glitter art and more. With tickets at just £5 per person from 12pm-10pm each day, this event is perfect for the Taylor-loving little ones in your family.

Candlelight: A Tribute to Taylor Swift

Experience the music of Taylor Swift as you (may have) never seen or heard it before, at the stunning St George’s Hall.
