St Paul’s Social Launches In Liverpool’s Business District
They mean business at St Paul’s Social.
Last week we were delighted to be invited down to the launch of a new bar and eatery in the heart of Liverpool’s business district, St Paul’s Social. As a location, St Paul’s Square has been pretty overlooked and somewhat forgotten when it comes to it’s food and drink scene – something that St Paul’s Social are on a mission to change. And if their launch evening canopies were anything to go by, the menu is set to be an absolute treat for the tastebuds…
The space itself is a simple haven, with pretty hanging light bulbs illuminating rustic tables and a beautifully tiled bar. St Paul’s is a definite calming refuge, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the thriving business district. It’s the kind of place you’d come to after a stressful Friday in the office (or Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) to wind down with a chilled glass of Pinot, whilst tucking into one of their Roadhouse flatbreads (delicious). The cocktails being shaken at the bar also looked pretty special, with a drinks menu offering a selection of classics, as well as some unique twists such as the Italian Mule (shaken Finlandia with limoncello, topped with ginger beer *heaven*).
The food menu offers dishes to take you right through from morning til’ evening, with a surprisingly generous variety of dishes available to eat in or take away to the office – much to the envy of your colleagues… Take your pick of anything from their salt and pepper chickpea sandwich wrap, to an irresistible Mediterranean mezze platter. Their sandwich range is pretty brilliant too, as it seems they’ve pretty much covered all bases for your perfect lunch.
St Paul’s Social has tapped into something amazing with their opening. Their aim is to give the hard working business community it’s centered in a focal point that’s more than just Pret a Manger… They’re delivering high quality food, craft ales, great coffee and all round good vibes to business district workers and anybody else looking for a new favourite haunt in town between Mondays and Fridays.
So whether you’re based in the area, or simply looking for a spot of lunch in a tucked away spot – St Paul’s Social is simply a must visit. Take a look at their Instagram to see what the fuss is about, and then get yourself down there for that post 5pm beverage, ASAP.
