The Padel Club Announce Landmark New Padel and Pickleball Club at Brunswick Dock
Liverpool’s vibrant waterfront is set to become home to one of the UK’s most exciting padel destinations, with The Padel Club announcing plans for a landmark new venue at Brunswick Dock. The Liverpool Riverside development will feature up to ten courts, including five state-of-the-art indoor padel courts, three outdoor padel courts with canopy for year-round play, and two indoor pickleball courts.
Set against the iconic River Mersey, the club will also boast an outdoor balcony and a social hub, combining world-class facilities with a welcoming space for players of all levels. Subject to planning, the new club is scheduled to open in early 2026.
Since its founding in 2022, The Padel Club has been at the forefront of community-focused sport and entertainment, with existing venues in Wilmslow, Gloucester, Cheltenham, and TraffordCity. Its Liverpool Riverside location continues that mission, providing a vibrant sports hub in the heart of the city, alongside the ongoing waterfront regeneration and the new Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore.
Kris Ball, CEO of The Padel Club and proud Scouser, said: “Liverpool thrives on sport, culture, and community. At Brunswick Dock, we’re creating something truly special – a padel destination where players of all levels can enjoy the game in an iconic location.”

Padel, which originated in South America in the 1960s, has quickly become the world’s fastest-growing sport. In the UK, it has captured the attention of football stars, with Liverpool FC and Everton FC players often spotted on the courts. Its low-impact, high-energy style makes it ideal for building friendships and enjoying friendly competition.
“When I started The Padel Club back in 2020, padel was very new to the UK,” Ball added. “To now be launching the best facilities for the fastest-growing sport in my home city, on this iconic waterfront, is a dream come true. This will be a fantastic social sports club in the centre of Liverpool.”
A spokesperson for the project said: “Liverpool’s waterfront is undergoing an incredible transformation, and padel is part of that story. These new courts will not only provide world-class facilities but also connect people through a sport that is fun, social, and accessible to all.”
The Padel Club Liverpool Riverside will offer a full social sports experience, including coaching for beginners, racquet hire and sales, a coffee bar, dining options, and a clubhouse – all bookable via the Playtomic mobile app.
