Sam Millne Releases New Track ‘Maybe’

We were lucky enough to catch a listen of Sam Millne’s track Maybe which is his second release following Living in Limbo’s release last February.

We had a quick chat about how his musical beginnings have paved the way for his latest releases.

Having always been into different types of music growing up, from musicals to The Beatles, I properly started getting into music in 2019.”

“I played the piano when I was younger but not to a high level but I began learning the guitar at home after getting good on the ukelele. I found this was a good starter. I’d always wanted the time to get into guitar and the first COVID lockdown gave me a chance to improve as well as start to develop my own songwriting.”

“Three years later, I’m in a position to get a band together after Christmas and hope to get bigger and better in the near future!”

The song itself, produced by James Gaugler, harks a hint of The Smiths’ energy though slightly edgier than that of your standard song of this genre. Strong lyrics reference climate change and our relative inaction against a seemingly urgent scenario. The chorus cuts a clearer picture of coming together, ensuring a generally happier outlook and the words are almost a call for the next generation. Written whilst on holiday, it’s got a great shift of feelings within the song to keep everything moving.

Sam is set to record and release another single early next year while rehearsing and forming a live band to take his music to the next level.

Maybe is out now across all streaming platforms!
