Musician & Audiovisual Artist Rea Fortis Presents ‘Where Are Your Gods Now’ At FACT This Summer
The multi-talented artist Rea Fortis will present her visual EP launch at FACT this August.
Where Are Your Gods Now is an audiovisual experience that combines Rea Fortis’ love of music videos and visual albums (think Beyonce’s Lemonade or Janelle Monae’s Dirty Computer). This visual EP launch pays homage to Western films, while starting a conversation about the place of religion in a post-apocalyptic world.
In her directorial premiere, Where Are Your Gods Now doubles as the debut EP from Fortis which features succulent fusions of jazz and blues music coupled with visuals of the vast and diverse landscapes of Liverpool. Watch the trailer for Where Are Your Gods Now below.
Fortis combines her love of house, funk and Latin to create earth-shattering vocal riffs that are hard to forget. A classically trained musician, she composes and writes songs with ivory keys at her fingertips with a series of saxophones and percussion instruments to hand. She creates, records and produces all of her material in her home studio. Inspired by the likes of Chromeo and Buena Vista Social Club, Rea Fortis likes to keep the groove going while layering unconventional harmonies, fashioning sounds that make your feet stomp and jaw drop.
Where Are Your Gods Now will also be released on all streaming platforms this summer. You can stream Fortis’ current releases via Spotify now.
